About Us
Northern States Aviation Inc. was founded in 2003 by Elsa and Nicholas Steo to serve companies involved in aerial imaging/mapping and utility companies requiring aerial survey of petroleum or gas pipeline assets.
Prior to starting Northern States Aviation Ms. Steo was involved as an owner and managing partner in a variety of successful small business endeavors. She has over 25 years experience primarily in the areas of business management, finance, business development, and human resources. Ms. Steo earned her Masters degree in Business Administration at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Mr. Steo holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in electrical engineering from Cornell University and Rochester Institute of Technology, respectively. He has over 20 years of experience in design and development of communications equipment and control systems.
Mr. & Ms. Steo are the proud owners of a vintage biplane (Dehavilland Tiger Moth). This aircraft is meticulously maintained and flown regularly.
