Operations
Northern States Aviation conducts flight operations 365 days a year, coast to coast, throughout the continental United States. Pilots, aircraft, fuel, maintenance and logistical support are provided and arranged by Northern States Aviation. This leaves our customers free to focus on their applications, confident in the knowledge that the airborne platform will be in the air, on-time and on-target to accomplish their mission.
Operations management is conducted at our main office outside Rochester, NY. Aircraft/pilot tasking, tracking and record keeping is performed along with direction of maintenance activities. Pilot and aircraft performance metrics are collected daily via Internet and analyzed to ensure the quality of the services provided. Operations activities are staffed 7 days per week to be responsive to changing customer requirements and to support the pilots in the field.
Key to Northern States Aviation's operational efficiency is effective communications with our pilots. As our representatives in the field, pilots are equipped with Internet access and digital cellular. Pilots employ these resources to receive operational direction from customers, to obtain real-time assistance in the event of problems with the airborne payload, and to submit operations reports.
