Aircraft
Northern States Aviation, manages and operates a fleet of 12 aircraft. Each is equipped and maintained for instrument flight operations. Northern States Aviation's aircraft are ready to fly short distances or coast to coast every day of the year. Each aircraft is fully insured and piloted by our professional staff.
Presently we are utilizing Cessna 172 aircraft for aerial imaging, pipeline and power line patrol. The Cessna 172 was selected due to its versatility and economy of operation for current applications. Northern States Aviation has extensive experience with this aircraft, not simply from an operations and maintenance viewpoint but also with respect to modification of the airframe , FAA certification and conditioning of the electrical system. With commonality of components between these aircraft, we are able to maintain an inventory of spare parts to ensure our aircraft can be returned to service rapidly, without reliance on availability of parts from vendors.
