Maintenance Philosophy

Northern States Aviation's aircraft are employed in demanding applications that dictate the highest levels of aircraft availability and safety. The aircraft maintenance philosophy adopted by the company is specifically designed for applications where the cost of the airborne payload is high,  the available time period for flight operations is limited, and/or low altitude operations demand the highest levels of aircraft reliability for safety of pilot/crew.

Quality aircraft maintenance is a key element in achieving these levels of aircraft reliability and availability.  Northern States Aviation's maintenance philosophy embodies proactive replacement of key components before they fail, thereby eliminating "down time" during the customer's flight window. 

We utilize the latest techniques for collection, communication, storage and analysis of aircraft  performance data.  This data forms the basis for the proactive maintenance program in use by Northern States Aviation.  This system allows us to tailor our maintenance program for each type of aircraft and engine we employ.  Our customers enjoy the benefits of these programs and Northern States Aviation provides  full disclosure of aircraft maintenance data to each customer.
